Capturing research in action. This aerial image of algal blooms on an Ontario Lake was a winner of the photo competition by the prestigious Nature magazine. Captured by PhD student Haolun ‘Allen’ Tian, the shot shows his team collecting samples of the toxic green blooms to analyze for his research into how algae interacts with other lake species.

A sure sign that summer is on the way at Queen’s. Over 1,800 staff and faculty gathered for the annual BBQ, hosted by the Office of the Principal and Vice-Chancellor and coordinated by Hospitality Services. Attendees visited tables representing the Employee Resource Groups at Queen's and generously donated to the AMS Food Bank.
