The IPSF Career Path Webinar Series is an international-based project that aims to provide valuable insights into various career paths within the pharmaceutical industry. This series of webinars will be divided into three parts, each focusing on a different career path. The webinars will feature prominent experts from each field who will share their experiences and provide valuable advice to aspiring professionals.

1. MSL Role in Pharmaceutical Companies will explore the unique responsibilities of MSLs, including their interactions with healthcare professionals, their contributions to the drug and development process.
2. The Role of Pharmacist in Health Informatics and Telepharmacy that will explore the role of the pharmacist in using technology to provide remote patient care and optimize medication therapy management.

CAPSI has teamed up with APhA-ASP, USA and FECOEF, Costa Rica to bring together this student panel hosted on January 28, at 7 pm EST. The main topics discussed will be COVID-19 and how it has impacted our practice and education. This is a fantastic way to see how other countries have had to adapt, and how practice varies from region to region.

A student working with CHEO has reached out in hopes to distribute a survey to pharmacists and pharmacy students around the globe. If you have a minute to fill out the survey he would find it very helpful.

"Through the department of pharmacy at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and through the CHEO Research Institute, Dr. Regis Vaillancourt and his investigative team are conducting an REB approved short anonymous survey to assess the concerns, beliefs, and attitudes surrounding being a pharmacist across Canada (as well as in countries where medical cannabis is legalized).



This study is being done because cannabis continues to be legalized in more and more countries and is being used for the medical treatment of multiple diseases and disorders. In Canada, pharmacists still cannot dispense cannabis, but it is likely that this will not always be the case.



It will be very helpful if you could distribute this survey to network, as this study will be a timely assessment of the current feelings surrounding how pharmacists perceive providing information on Medicinal and Recreational Cannabis.



Note that this survey is for pharmacists, but it can also be completed by pharmacy students.



Completion of the multiple choice survey will be considered adequate for consent.

Half of all mental illness begins by the age of 14, but most cases go undetected and untreated. In terms of the burden of the disease among adolescents, depression is the third leading cause. Su***de is the second leading cause of death among 15-29-year-olds. Harmful use of alcohol and illicit drugs among adolescents is a major issue in many countries and can lead to risky behaviours such as unsafe s*x or dangerous driving. Eating disorders are also of concern.
