General Interest studies offer an easier way to get started. You donโt need to apply to a degree, diploma or certificate program โ choose a course, complete the General Interest registration process and start exploring.
This fall, check out three Horticulture courses:
๐ฟ HORT 1110: Introduction to Sustainable Horticulture โ Instructor: Diego Martinez Manay
Explore sustainability, food systems, crop diversity, biotechnology, urban planning and ecological cultivation.
โ๏ธ HORT 2327: Sustainable Design I โ Instructor: Jack van Duynhoven
Develop residential landscape design skills through drafting, site analysis and design communication, with a focus on sustainability in urban landscapes.
๐ฌ HORT 3320: Plant Pathology โ Instructor: Lily Liu
Get hands-on experience diagnosing plant diseases, evaluating control strategies and exploring plant health and disease management.
General Interest is a great way to test the waters, explore a new career direction or build new skills โ without committing to a full program.
๐ Take one course per term (up to 4 credits), to a maximum of 12 undergraduate credits. Registration begins on the first day of classes, subject to available seats.
HORT 2327 and HORT 3320 require a Permission to Register form.
