Congratulations to this year's recipient of the Poomaksin Pens Award, Martin Roundstone (BMgt '26). A proud member of the Kainai (Blood) Tribe and the Northern Cheyenne Nation, Martin has dedicated himself to preserving Indigenous knowledge through traditional beadwork, cultural learning and service to his community.

As he graduates from the Dhillon School of Business, Martin's journey reflects the meaning of Poomaksin; the transfer of knowledge, teachings and responsibility from one generation to the next.

Are you a graduate of the Indigenous Health (formerly Aboriginal Health) program in the Faculty of Health Sciences at ULethbridge? We want to hear from you!

We want to showcase our programs' alumni success stories and the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our graduates and the fields and sectors where they work.

Whether you completed the four-year route or entered the program through the post-diploma pathway and are working in the field and sector, share your story with us and support future students and community partners in understanding the impact of Indigenous Health education.

We’re excited to introduce a new opportunity for emerging and early-career Indigenous artists in Piiksinaasin, the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lethbridge 🎨

The Indigenous Artist(s) in Residence program offers artists paid residencies, studio space and access to campus resources, all while staying connected to community, family and land!

Generously supported by TD Bank Group [TD], artists will create new work, mentor students, lead workshops and artist talks and share their work through exhibitions and performances.

Today, and each June 21, we come together to recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day. It is a time to celebrate the history, heritage, resilience and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples across Canada and address what meaningful reconciliation entails.
