This show is a darkly comic, thought-provoking theatrical experience about survival, storytelling and cultural memory after collapse. Blending satire and music, it re-imagines The Simpsons as post-apocalyptic myth, exploring how art rebuilds community, meaning and resilience in a fractured world that may reflect our own today.

Meet an alumna who inspires: Thea Sleight (BFA - Art '21)! 👋🖼️

A life in the arts rarely follows a straight line, and Thea knows that’s exactly what makes it interesting.

From studying Art History & Museum Studies to working at the Whyte Museum, Walter Phillips Gallery and now coordinating travelling exhibitions, Thea has followed her curiosity wherever it leads.

Along the way, she’s built a career rooted in art, community, connection and a willingness to take big swings.

What if your classroom was Prague? 🇨🇿

Next summer, students can take their studies to the Prague Quadrennial, one of the world’s largest celebrations of performance design, space and creativity.

FA 3200: Field Studies in Scenography – The Prague Quadrennial offers students the opportunity to experience PQ 2027, support ULethbridge’s entry in the Canada Student Exhibition and explore exhibits, performances, workshops and ideas from artists around the world.

The course is open to all Fine Arts students with second-year standing or instructor approval. You don’t need to be a Drama student to take part.

🎓 Summer Session I begins May 3
🌍 Prague Quadrennial: June 8–17, 2027
💰 12 bursaries of $1,000 are available
👥 The course is capped at 20 students

Experience the art of lost wax bronze casting using our modern casting facilities. In this hands-on course, take your ideas from wax to bronze and experience all stages in the casting process.
