The Western Real Estate Law Association is proud to present – Roadmap to Real Estate: Conversations with Experts in Real Estate Law

Looking to explore the world of Real Estate Law? The Western Real Estate Law Association is excited to announce its upcoming event, a panel discussion featuring experienced Real Estate lawyers. Taking place on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023, from 6-7pm, this event aims to offer a greater understanding of the practice area and a glimpse into the life of a practitioner.

Our upcoming event will feature a panel of 4 lawyers, specializing in both commercial and residential Real Estate Law. During this discussion, the panel will share their personal journeys into Real Estate Law, provide an insight into their daily work routine, analyze the effects of the pandemic on the practice area, and offer valuable advice to law students interested in pursuing this career path.

The wait is over!

We are proud to present our biggest event of the year: Real Estate Law in Practice: A Panel Night with Practitioners.

The panel will take place on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022 from 5-6pm and will host six real estate lawyers who will discuss Real Estate Law and provide an insight into the life of a practitioner.

The lawyers on the panel practice both residential and commercial real estate law in cities across southern Ontario. The panel will discuss their journey to real estate law, what their day-to-day job looks like, the effects of the pandemic on the practice area, as well as some general advice to law students interested in pursuing this practice area.

Hi there Western Law! Welcome (back)!

We are now recruiting members for our executive team. We are looking forward to a much better in-person year filled with many fun events and activities and hope that some of you can help!

Our goal is to provide education, guidance, and networking opportunities to students who are interested in a potential career in real estate law, or to those who are simply interested in learning more about real estate law in general. Our events will allow those interested in real estate law to speak to practicing lawyers in this field as well as professors and attend events to meet and talk to other students.

Positions are open for 1L Representatives, Social Media Coordinators, and Executive Members. Members of the RELA team will help plan, organize, and promote RELA events as well as attend club meetings. The role of Executive Members is only open to 2Ls and 3Ls and their responsibilities will be to help support the RELA team, as well as assist in growing our outreach.

This information will be listed in the SLS beginning Thursday September 16th and all interested candidates are asked to please fill out the below application, and attach their resume, by Wednesday September 22, 2021 at 11:59pm. Western Real Estate Law Association presents: A Conversation with Real Estate Lawyers!

Interested in real estate law? Have no idea what real estate law is? Join the Western Real Estate Law Association on Monday February 8th from 4:30-6:00pm for a conversation with real estate lawyers to learn more about this practice area and to get an inside scoop on the life of a practitioner.

This event will consist of a panel of five lawyers, practicing in both residential and commercial real estate in cities across southern Ontario. They will discuss how they got into real estate law, what their day-to-day job looks like, the effects of COVID-19 on this practice area, as well as provide some general advice to all us law students.
