PBSN strives to provide opportunities for students interested in a field of business at Western. Regardless of their program or faculty, PBSN helps students experience business beyond the classroom setting. Unlike conventional business clubs, PBSN also caters to career paths beyond the norm, offering insights into not only finance and consulting but also entrepreneurship, tech, and strategy. PBSN

is also consistently re-evaluating our line-up of offerings to our members in order to provide the most up to date experiences. So, how can you get involved?

‍PBSN provides many different opportunities for first and second years to get involved. Executive recruitment for PBSN occurs at the end of September – make sure to attend our Annual General Meeting to learn the application release date. All of our programs, competitions, and conferences are open to our General Members. Keep an eye on our social accounts to find out how to get involved!

PBSN is proud to present the 3rd edition of the Aspire Case Competition, sponsored by Accenture!💜

Aspire is completely beginner-friendly, and is the perfect opportunity to gain experience in case competitions!📊💼

Come out on Saturday, November 11th to experience a fun day of case competition, complete with a second-year mentor to guide you along the case from preparation➡️presentation🤝

There will also be opportunities to network with Accenture reps!🟣

This event is open to first year students at Western, who will be put in teams of 3 and paired with a 2nd year PBSN VP/mentor. The competition will be held in person from 10am-5pm, location TBA.

Sign-ups are limited and will be given on a first-come first-serve basis. Emails with further details will be sent only to those selected.

Any first years looking to expand their professional network and pursue new mentorship opportunities? PBSN’s Members’ Network welcomes you 🙌! The Members’ Network is a community environment for students to gain deeper insights about life at Western, personal goals, and/or career-oriented ambitions.

As a mentee, you'll be grouped with designated mentors: a second-year student 😍 and an HBA2 student 🤩. You’ll also be added to a network of other like-minded first year students, so you’ll have the chance to meet many new friends 👯!

Your mentors will help guide you throughout this year-long mentorship program to ensure that you have a support system at Western. More specifically, they can give you insight or direction on navigating towards a successful career in the field of business 💼!

Bain & Company Toronto will be offering a select number of Ivey students with the exclusive chance to meet one-on-one for coffee chats with our Associate Consultants. This is an invaluable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the consulting industry and get a glimpse into the unique culture and values that make Bain stand out.

There will be a limited number of coffee chat slots available, so apply by August 13th at 11:59 pm EST with your resume and a brief 100-word response to the following question: “What are you hoping to learn through a coffee chat with a Bain AC?”. Please submit these documents as one file in your application. If you are selected to participate, Bain will reach out with next steps.

"Credit Suisse’s Toronto office is coming to campus on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 5:30pm – 7:00pm. We will be holding our session in UCC (University Community Centre) 147 A & B and will be providing some colour on our 2024 summer analyst program.

In Toronto, we are home to the Credit Suisse Canadian Diversified industry coverage group. The office is dedicated to serving a diverse set of clients and industries including diversified industrials, energy & transition, technology, financial sponsors, mining and retail & consumer. In addition to industry coverage bankers, the Toronto office has local product expertise, with both capital markets and M&A bankers. Our international reach offers unrivaled opportunities to execute transactions from conception to close, often with a global or cross-border element, which differentiates Credit Suisse from our competitors.

Three Credit Suisse bankers will be in attendance at the session from the analyst, associate, and director level. It would be great to see some familiar faces at our session!
