Youth Assisting Youth (YAY), we utilize the power of peer mentorship.

YAY runs a Virtual Tutoring Program that seeks to assist at-risk and newcomer youth with their academics. Volunteer tutors aged 16-29 are matched with a student for 1:1 online (Zoom) tutoring sessions, where they will cover a range of topics and assignments. Our Virtual Tutoring Program currently has over 60 students on the waitlist who are eager to be matched with a volunteer tutor.

I am reaching out to offer this volunteer opportunity for students who would like to develop their leadership, communication, and organizational skills and become involved with their community. This program offers students a wonderful opportunity to build their resumes and CVs while creating meaningful connections with the community. Additionally, volunteer tutors who join the program this summer will be eligible for a $50 gift card at the end of the summer!

I would like to kindly invite you to share this information with students in your program. The registration form for tutors can be accessed here.
