Manik Singh, 22, is the highest-ranked table tennis player in Canada. In 2017, Singh represented his home country India at a table tennis tournament in Oman.

"It felt so good. I held the Indian flag when I went there and it was a great feeling. It never occurred to me that I could achieve such a thing, but I'm so lucky to have the support of my parents and school."

Manik Singh has a natural grasp on speed and technique when it comes to playing table tennis. It's a skill he picked up at the young age of nine without any training.

After being introduced to the sport of table tennis at 10 years of age in his hometown of New Delhi, Manik Singh, a fourth-year BMOS student, has become the highest-ranked table tennis player in Canada! Manik worked his way to the top through hard work, determination and unwavering dedication, and is an inspiring example for all aspiring King’s student-athletes.

“King’s is a great place for athletes as it supports students in every way possible and has given me the opportunity to excel in my sport,” he says.

Passion, hard work and unwavering support have taken BMOS student Manik Singh from being a table tennis enthusiast to representing his country and university at the highest levels.
