Merch drop! ✨

We hope everyone is getting through the semester all right! Here at the student council, we've got some seriously awesome news to drop, and we couldn't wait to spill the beans!

Drumroll, please... 🥁 Brace yourself for the grand reveal of our brand spankin' new merch collection! 🎉 We've been cooking up some great designs, and we're stoked to share them with our favourite crew (that's you, of course!).

Here's what we've got this semester:

👕 Fresh Fits: We have sweaters and T-shirts available in sizes XS to 3XL!

🕶️ Not just clothes we have fun accessories like tote bags, and maybe... a f***y pack?!

🔥 We have a bunch of other items available, priced from $48 to only $2!

MLIS Student Council and the FIMS Graduate Library are collaborating to raise money to purchase 10 Kobo e-readers for the W. Ross MacDonald School for the blind, low vision, and deafblind students of Ontario. 📚

You can help get books into the hands of blind, low vision, and deafblind students by donating to our fundraiser today! Any amount helps, and all money will help us buy Kobos! 📔

To kick off the start of a new semester, the MLIS Student Council is hosting a Cupcake decorating social event on Wednesday, September 20 from 12:00- 1:30 in the FIMS Grad Lounge (FNB 3040)! 🍰

All students in MLIS are invited. At this event you will be able to meet your fellow classmates, speak with this semester’s student council members, and ask questions about the upcoming semester, all while enjoying some delicious cupcakes! We hope to see you there! 🧁

Join us on Tuesday, August 8 from 4:30-5:30p.m. in FNB 3220 for help setting up your registration cart or trouble shooting other problems. ✅

We will have tech support on speed dial and will be ready to answer your questions about registration or potential classes! 🧑‍💻

Congratulations to the for an incredible run of “Much Ado About Nothing”! 💌

We had a wonderful time viewing the closing performance. It’s an absolute joy that we get to experience great theatre in Western’s own gardens! 💐

Special congratulations to our very own Aleesa who played Ursula! And a big bravo to the whole team! 🎉
