WHY AOII WEDNESDAY ✨🤍

Today we hear from our sister Leticia from PC’24!

I chose to join AOII because of the incredible sisterhood and unwavering support. AOII isn’t just about wearing letters, it’s about building a community where girls lift each other up, cheer each other on, and help one another achieve our dreams. Whether it’s academic success, personal growth, or career aspirations, AOII fosters an environment where every sister feels empowered to reach her fullest potential. It’s a place where we celebrate each other’s victories and encourage each other through challenges, and I’m beyond grateful to be part of this powerful, inspiring sisterhood. Specifically through the relationships I have created with my big Ryan and my littles Zoe and Chloe. The love, trust, and support between us is exactly why I’m so proud to be part of this sisterhood.

WHY AOII WEDNESDAY ✨🤍

Today we hear from our sister Emily from PC’24!

Never in a million years did I think rushing would become such a defining moment in my life. What started as something completely outside my comfort zone turned into one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. AOII has not only given me a family I didn’t even realize I was missing but more than anything, AOII brought me some of the most important people in my life—my triplets and my big. I am beyond grateful for Avery, Lauren, Hilary and the rest of my family tree and I can’t imagine my life without them. Looking back, I’m so glad I took that leap. And If you’re debating whether to rush in the future, trust me, take the chance. You just might find your people, just like I did.

WHY AOII WEDNESDAY ✨🤍

Today we hear from our sister Avery from PC ‘24, as she shares her personal journey, her rushing experience, and the heartfelt reasons that led her to AOII!✨

Rushing alone in my second year was terrifying, and I put it off until the very last minute until I realized I’d regret it more if I didn’t take the chance. Seeing a crowd of 500 girls gathered in front of the Western sign by Alumni Hall almost made me turn back, but facing that fear turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Now, to put it simply, I LOVE IT. I’ve formed genuine friendships, especially with my triplets, Lauren and Emily, whom I never would have met without AOII. And my big, Hilary, who was also my Rho Gamma, has made AOII feel like a true family, she genuinely feels like an older sister to me. If anyone is debating whether to rush, I’ll always tell them to take the leap because that leap was the best decision I made for myself in 2024!

FAMILY WEEKEND RECAP 🫶🏼💋

AOII Family Weekend was a true highlight! A massive thank you to for her incredible effort in organizing such a memorable time. We kicked things off cheering for our Knights at the hockey game, followed by a delightful brunch at Toboggan. To top it all we went to Delilah’s for dinner. Moments like these remind us how special our sisterhood is and we were incredibly grateful to show our family an inside of AOII. Here’s to the memories we’ve made and the ones still to come! ❤️ ”

HAPPY WOMENS HISTORY MONTH ✨🌸

In honour of women’s history month I wanted to talk about two of the best women I know, Brooke and Rachael. I knew my roommate Brooke briefly before coming to Western and met Rachael on my floor in residence, within a week we knew we wanted to live together and before I knew it we were inseparable. Brooke and Rachael are two of the funniest, kindest, and most supportive girls i’ve ever met and I know I’ve made a lifelong friendship with them. Being in AOII together has brought us even closer and I will forever be grateful for that. I strive to be more like them in my everyday life and they’re the reason why I know people weren’t lying when they said they found their future bridesmaids in university💘💘

WHY AOII WEDNESDAY ✨🤍

Today, we hear from our sister Ella from PC’24, as she reflects on her formal recruitment journey and how AOII helped her find lifelong friendships and lasting bonds.

Coming to western as a transfer I barely knew anyone here and was super nervous about meeting people. First day of rush I connected with 2 of the sweetest girls who somehow knew the few people from my home town here and I instantly felt at home. From day one these have been the most outgoing, supportive, kind girls and coming from a house of 5 girls it makes my so happy to have such an amazing community of women. Im forever grateful for big-little for giving me not only the best big but my best friend, even when were provinces apart on break we cant go an hour without talking. Being in AOII has introduced me to my best friends, future roommates and my future bride mates, and I cant wait for what’s to come.💕

HAPPY WOMENS HISTORY MONTH✨🌸

Today we hear from our sister Leticia from
PC’24 as she shares an important women in her life💕

This Women’s Month, I want to take a moment to celebrate my incredible big, Ryan. She is one of the kindest people I know, always going out of her way to support others and show up with love. Ryan works incredibly hard and pours her heart into everything she does, but what truly stands out is her ability to listen with such compassion and understanding. Whether you need advice, a laugh, or just someone to lean on, she’s always there, offering her friendship without hesitation. I’m so lucky to have her in my life, and I admire her strength, kindness, and dedication every single day. Thank you for being such an amazing role model and friend

WHY AOII WEDNESDAY ✨🤍

Today, we hear from our sister Rachael from PC ‘24 as she opens up about her journey and the reasons behind her decision to join AOII.

I decided to rush because I grew up with sisters, and coming to university without them felt so weird. From the second I rushed AOII, it genuinely felt like home. Everyone was so welcoming, and I had this feeling that I was exactly where I was supposed to be. 🩷

Through AOII I have been able to meet my best friends and I am forever grateful. I met my big and the rest of my family and I truly felt like I was at home again 💘 Joining AOII is the best decision I ever made and I’m so grateful to be part of something so special. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
