Kenjgewin Teg offers a flexible adult learning environment that supports students in various academic and career pathways. We provide d

irect educational services through the delivery of college and university accredited programs, pre-employment training programs, school support services, employee training, professional development workshops and general interest learning. Employee training and professional development programs can be customized and delivered to any (Aboriginal or non-Aboriginal) community, organization, association or group - whether that community, organization, etc is a member community of Kenjgewin Teg or not.

What is a Living Classroom?
A Living Classroom is a model of learning and practice where students learn alongside residents, families, and team members in a long-term care setting. This approach allows students to gain real-world experience while building confidence and practical skills in healthcare.

Join us for Ministry of Labour–approved Working at Heights training facilitated by NATT Safety Solutions.

Kenjgewin Teg was honoured to receive a beautiful canoe from our long-time partners at Gwekwaadziwin Miikan last week, presented to us during their graduation ceremony.

Built by Gwekwaadziwin Miikan participants, the canoe made its way to Kenjgewin Teg following a voyage through the North Channel and under the Little Current Swing Bridge.

The canoe was gifted with future generations in mind — creating opportunities for youth to spend time on the water, connect with the land, and build meaningful relationships with one another and their surroundings.

Miigwech to Gwekwaadziwin Miikan for this meaningful gift and for continuing to strengthen the connections between our organizations. We look forward to seeing this canoe carry many more stories, teachings and memories for years to come.

Are you ready to inspire the next generation of learners?

Our Indigenous Teacher Education Program (ITEP), in partnership with Queen’s University, is a unique opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Education with a focus on the Primary-Junior divisions (K-6), while specializing in Indigenous education.

This two-year, flexible, community-based program is designed to allow you to continue working while completing your degree. Delivered through weekend classes at Kenjgewin Teg, the program also includes one month of summer learning at Queen’s University in the first year and one month at Kenjgewin Teg in the second year.

With many courses taught by Indigenous professors, ITEP will equip you with the skills, knowledge, and experience to teach in both First Nations and provincial schools.

If you’re passionate about Indigenous education and ready to make a difference in the lives of learners, this could be your opportunity to take the next step in your teaching journey.

Build your computer skills for work, school and beyond!

Applications are open for Kenjgewin Teg’s Computer Applications Certificate Program, beginning October 1, 2026.

This eight-month program focuses on computer applications and software skills currently used in the workplace, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, operating systems and advanced office applications.

October 1, 2026 – May 27, 2027
Online or in-person options available
$50 per course + textbooks, if required

Complete all six courses to earn an Ontario College Certificate, or take individual courses on a modular basis and receive a certificate of completion for each course.

Courses include:
• Fundamentals of Operating Systems
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Advanced Spreadsheet Applications
• PowerPoint
• Advanced Word Processing Applications

Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning.
