Calling all Nurses aspiring to become Educators
We are thrilled to announce the addition of a brand new elective course in our nationally recognized online Certificate in Adult Education (CAE) specifically designed for Nurses who are or want to become Educators!
AE114 – Educator Pathway for Nurses
This 20-hour online course is designed nurses (LPN, RPN, RN, or NP) teaching or preparing to teach in a nursing program as a Nursing Educator, Nurse Preceptor, Nursing Mentor or a Clinical Nursing Instructor. Participants will explore these roles in nursing in the Canadian educational landscape. The course focuses on the unique challenges and opportunities of such roles, ensuring that nurses in these roles can provide the leadership, mentoring, support, guidance, and feedback necessary for students to succeed in their clinical placement and facilitate safe, ethical, quality practice.
To receive the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE), participants must complete 4 compulsory courses (Foundations in Adult Education, Designing Instruction, Assessment and Evaluation, and Facilitating Adult Learning) plus select two elective courses from our AE105 to AE114 series.
