The importance of these Easter Ceremonies has been part of the Rose Croix for more than 200 years. We know this to be true because of an ordinance concerning these ceremonies that was enacted in 1762:

"The principal feast of the Chapter is the Thursday before Easter. No reason whatsoever will excuse a failure to hold a Chapter on that day; and, if the place where one lives, there be no other Knights, he must perform the ceremony alone, and unite his Spirit with his Brethren, who in the same day, will remember him. If one is on a journey, still he can, and ever ought to, perform his duty."

"If a Knight knows of another Knight not more than three leagues distance, he should write him to hold a Chapter with him on Maundy Thursday; and in that case they are to meet halfway."

We invite you to attend with us on this solemn occasion and if not physically, at least spiritually. Should time and distance preclude your attendance, we ask you to pause briefly, and share for a moment the solemnity of this occasion.

A very Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season to our Brethren, their friends and family near and far!

To Whom it may Concern:

This letter is a request from our organization to help support us in our time of need. We are being asked to leave our place of learning as it is being turned into a homeless shelter. The city is not helping us to relocate and there has been no indication that they will subsidize our move.

The mission of the Children’s Dyslexic Learning Centre NB is to provide a state of the art, free remedial tutoring to children with difficulties in reading, writing and related scholastic skills formally identified as Dyslexia.

This tutoring service is provided free of charge to children who have been previously tested, evaluated and formally identified as being dyslexic. There is an enormous demand for these services in the region as recent studies estimate that up to one in five children have some type of learning-based disability with dyslexia being the most common. This tremendous success is tempered by the fact the Center currently has a wait list of over 75 children with an expected wait time of over 2.5 years.

Sincerely,
Childrens Dyslexic Learning Centre NB

Our Centre for Dyslexic Tutoring aka The Scottish Rite Learning Centre in Moncton has been doing amazing work for Dyslexic children for years now and we very much hope that work will continue for an even longer time.
Despite that, there is still some questions or misunderstanding around dyslexia as there are many myths or dismissive attitudes around it.

In the video linked below, there is a good and not overly complex explanation about dyslexia and even somewhat debunks a misconception about it. I hope you enjoy it and that it raises other questions on how and why the centre delivers this much needed tutoring.

While many researchers are focusing on finding a difference in brains of people with dyslexia, some new research suggests it might not just be in their brain...
