🎉 Congratulations to Maimouna Mbengue, a recent graduate of McGill's Master of Science in Public Health program and recipient of a prestigious Pathy Foundation Fellowship.

Inspired by women in her community, Maimouna will use the fellowship to launch Healing with Compassion: Senegal Postpartum Depression Prevention, a community-based initiative supporting pregnant and postpartum women on the outskirts of Dakar, Senegal. Through Mother Wellness Circles, the project will create welcoming spaces for women to connect, share experiences, and support one another.

Drawing on the public health and community empowerment approaches she developed at McGill, Maimouna is transforming knowledge into action and helping strengthen maternal well-being where it is needed most.
