Multi-faith & Spirituality Centre seeks to foster community connection, creative thinking, and imaginative enterprise. We are a home for all those who wish to celebrate the human spirit in the widest sense of the word—through practicing yoga and meditation, artistic expression, or engaging with socio-environmental issues—to nurture faith and encourage spiritual practice. Spin the wheel to discover a reflective question designed to spark curiosity, sharing, and community building. Drop in, unwind, and leave with possibly a new perspective and some connections.

Join this mindfulness series to engage in a “full body” mindfulness practice, encompassing gentle mindful movement, breathwork exercises, and guided meditations. Be part of a small group to build skills and practice dialogue across differences of belief and worldview. We'll start each session with a light dinner and then deepen the conversation by learning and practicing skills for conversation across differences. No prior experience is needed, and the workshop is open to students of any religious, spiritual or secular worldview who want to practice skills for encounter across differences in this diverse world.

This workshop is jointly offered by the Multi-faith and Spirituality Centre and the McGill Office of Religious and Spiritual Life. Location will be sent to registered participants. Deadline for registration is Oct 17.

Participants will need to commit to curious and respectful dialogue and should plan to attend both sessions of this closed cohort. Co-Curricular Record recognition is available for those who complete the program.

Stop by the Multi-faith and Spirituality Centre for conversation and connection, sometime on a theme. Coffee, tea and snacks will be served. This event is open to all members of the Concordia community (students, faculty and staff)—drop in anytime between 2 & 4 p.m.
Thursday:
Join us for an exciting volunteering activity with the MFSC, Homeroom and Innovation Jeunes!
This event will provide an opportunity for volunteers like you to contribute your time and skills towards closing the Versailles Community Garden for winter and learning about what the Earth can teach us about endings. Register in our Link in Bio!
Note: This event will be recognized for Concordia students on their co-curricular record.

Let’s come together for a contemplative walk that uses poems as a starting point for conversations about barriers, belonging, and the spaces we move through together. As participants walk, pausing to read and reflect, they explore how a place reveals who it was made for and deepen their understanding of what it takes to move from exclusion to belonging. Mon, October 26 from 2:30-5:30pm, join MfSC's Sacred Site Visit: Islamic Centre of Quebec and learn about Islam, Muslim practice and the Muslim community in Canada and in Montreal. We'll start with a short introduction, have an opportunity to visit the mosque during prayers and have time for questions and discussion with our hosts.

Participate in this sacred site visit plus two others this academic year, complete a reflection to build your capacity for religious literacy and earn recognition on your Co-Curricular Record.

All members of the Concordia community can register; priority will be given to current Concordia students. Please email [email protected] with any accessibility needs before October 9 so we can coordinate with our hosts.
