During our visit to Concordia University's Aerospace Engineering lab, our Science students were surprised to be welcomed and guided by none other than Sefi Kalmanson, a former TAV Pure & Applied Science student!

Now at Concordia, Sefi is excelling in mechanical engineering. As a former Camera Bay Lead with Space Concordia’s Rocketry Division and with industry experience at Pratt & Whitney, he contributed in 2024 to the design of a rocket engine injector with film-cooling capability, a research project supervised by Dr. Jerin John.

This is exactly what TAV and Décarie are all about, from our classrooms to the frontier of aerospace research.

TAV and Décarie College Science students got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Concordia University’s Engineering Department!

From a demo of Concordia's brand-new Cybersecurity program to tours of the Civil & Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, and Aerospace Engineering labs, our students experienced what cutting-edge university engineering life really looks like. They also got to explore The CAGE, a workspace for Concordia SAE, a student-run engineering chapter that designs, manufactures, and tests vehicles for competitions.

Thank you, Concordia University, for the informative tour!
