Hi everyone,

The ASA Elections are starting up for the 2022-2023 Academic Year. I am the Deputy Returning Officer (DRO) and will be taking care of the electoral process. I've linked two Google Docs below with information about the electoral calendar, the positions available, and how to run for them. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the guidelines. The nomination period starts March 7th, do not start collecting signatures before that date. It is recommended to use google forms to collect the signatures; if not, paper is good too; stick to one method only.

The nomination period ends March 11th. There will be an extended period for uncontested positions.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me on FB or email me at [email protected]

The Venice Biennale and Curators Collective (CC) have launched an international open call for design students, A Bench in Venice, to propose a bench design for installation in Venice during the summer of 2021. This open call puts forth the idea that the bench can be a key activator of Common Space, enabling observation, reflection and, therefore, dialog.

The submission consists of a single A3 PDF proposal. The deadline to apply is July 12th, 2021 at 7pm CEST.

All competition entries will be shown on the Curators Collective website. Three benches will be built and installed on the Venice Biennale site.

For more information about the competition, refer to this link to the Curators Collective’s open call: http://curatorscollective.org/open-call/

Hi everyone!

Hope your summer has been off to an amazing start and you're enjoying the warm weather :)

The McGill Engineering Competition (MEC) is an exciting interdisciplinary engineering competition that allows students of all types of engineering to test their skills in varying competitions. This summer, MEC is hosting a Summer Series where you can compete in smaller versions of their competition to keep your engineering skills sharp and to win some fun prizes.

This month's challenge focuses on RE-ENGINEERING. More information about the challenge can be found in the doc here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Q-laDBisO0i39OcaFiGpkgD26HFVrDEPrjxAKRZEAaY/edit?usp=sharing and submissions can be uploaded here: https://forms.gle/voFaeN1RVRBJg3i66 by midnight on Sunday, June 27th!

Stay tuned next weekend for our FIRST MEC Summer Series Challenge. This month we'll be challenging your brains with RE-ENGINEERING!
