To all current MBA students at the John Molson School of Business. The John Molson School of Business's MBACCC invites applications for the McGill Retail Innovation Challenge 2026 (Oct 6 - Oct 31).

The competition offers students the chance to work through a real-world business challenge and build their case-cracking experience.

Whether you already have a team or are looking to join one, this is a great opportunity to get involved.

Thank you to ArdoVLM for collaborating with the Concordia Case Competition Committee and providing the case mandate for our LIVE Case Experience course this summer. Your contribution allowed for invaluable experiential learning.

Participants had the opportunity to tackle a real strategic challenge through which they could hone skills such as structured problem-solving, teamwork, strategic analysis, and executive-style presentations while working through a real business context.

Congratulations to all participants on completing an intense and rewarding two weeks!

Last Sunday, March 15th, the CCC hosted its annual Pitch Day — giving students a hands-on introduction to the world of case competitions 💼✨

Four teams took on the challenge, working closely with experienced coaches to analyze a case and deliver 15-minute presentations. It was an incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and step into the fast-paced environment of competitive problem-solving.

Each winter semester, Pitch Day is all about encouraging students to try something new and build confidence in their skills — and this year was no exception.

A huge thank you to:
👏 Our dedicated coaches who continue to give their time year after year
👏 All the students who showed up, challenged themselves, and participated
👏 Our Faculty Advisor, Tim Field, for his continued support
👏 And the amazing CCC team for organizing another successful event

As part of the Winter 2026 semester, the MBA Case Competition Committee is inviting students to participate in the JMSB Pitch Day, taking place on March 15, 2026 at 10AM.

This is the perfect opportunity to apply your classroom learning to real-world business challenges, test your analytical skills, and experience the thrill of competition in a supportive environment.

Teams for the competition will consist of 3 to 4 members. If you already have a team, please ensure each member registers separately below. If you are signing up as an individual, no problem — we’ll match you with a team so you can take part!🤝

What to expect:
1. Gain valuable insights into case analysis techniques
2. Learn about the SIA (MBA 659) and LIVE Case (MANA 690) courses
3. Be prepared for the upcoming SIA and Live Case Tryouts

👏 Celebrating the hard work and achievements of our MBA students who represented our program at two national case competitions this past month!
🏆 University of Manitoba Asper Business Case Competition
Our MBA team delivered exceptional results across three rounds in a highly competitive field:
🥇 1st place – Research Case
🥇 1st place – Boardroom Case
🥉 3rd place – Traditional 3-hour Case
Team members: Yaping Li, Grish Balaji, Shailendra Rai, and Jailyn Meade
Coaches: Lisa Malachowski and Laura Fraticelli
📍 10th Annual MBA Diversity & Inclusion Case Challenge – University of Ottawa Telfer School of Management
Our team worked on a month-long consulting mandate focused on designing a sourcing and logistics strategy for Portage & Pine Apparel to strengthen resilience, credibility, and inclusion while maintaining financial performance in a volatile global environment.
Team members: Pragya Tiwary, Swapnil Hirani, Jeremie St-Jules Prevost, and Hoda Heli
Coaches: Liane Villemure, Beth Clarke, and Anne Morinville
While both teams did not advance to the final round, they delivered a strong performance after months of preparation that began back in September as part of the Strategies in Action course. Both teams demonstrated incredible dedication, teamwork, and professionalism while representing our MBA program.
👏 Congratulations to all participants and a sincere thank you to the coaches for their ongoing support.
