At the Civic Gaming Project, we investigate games that may help citizens learn to reflect on important social questions. We have conducted research on the education impact of games that simulate nuclear destruction (DEFCON) and the effects of climate climate change (Fate of the World). Currently, we are investigating a new game on the iOS platform. The Civic Gaming Project is headed by Dr. David W

addington of the Concordia University Department of Education. Other Concordia faculty working on the project include Dr. Ann-Louise Davidson, Dr. Vivek Venkatesh. Graduate students working on the project include Emily Sheepy, Linda Overing, Wanting Zou, and Kris Alexander.

I'm really pleased to see that people are continuing to participate in our Civic Gaming Project! Our intrepid researchers, Wanting Zou and Emily Sheepy, are doing a great job!

If you or your friends live in the Montreal area, own an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, and are interested in participating, why not fill out our screening test?

If you qualify, you'll be asked to fill out a pretest, and one of our research assistants will contact you soon to arrange for a lab session. If you complete the tests and the lab session, you'll get $15!
