The baja team designs, manufactures and builds an all terrain vehicle to compete in Baja SAE comps!

The object of the competition is to simulate real-world engineering design projects and their related challenges. Each team is competing to have its design accepted for manufacture by a fictitious firm. The students must function as a team to design, build, test, promote and compete with a vehicle within the limits of the rules. They must also generate financial support for their project and manage their educational priorities.

Le week-end dernier, l’équipe Baja Racing a eu l’occasion de présenter TIA au Festival Eurêka () de cette année - visant à initier les jeunes enfants à la science et à la technologie par le biais d’activités pratiques. Notre activité impliquait notre système de freinage et a donné aux enfants une chance de diriger et de s’asseoir dans notre voiture. 🏁

C’était incroyable de voir la jeune génération toujours passionnée par le domaine des STIM, et encore mieux que nous en ayons pu en faire partie !

This past weekend, the Baja Racing team got the opportunity to showcase TIA at this year’s Festival Eurêka (), aimed to introduce young kids to science and technology through hands-on activities. Our activity involved our brakes system and gave the kids a chance to steer and sit in our car. 🏁

It was incredible to see the younger generation still passionate about the STEM field, and even better that we got to be a part of it!

A huge congratulations to PJ Schembre, a former drivetrain lead, and his capstone team for completing their splineless hub project last month.

They designed these splineless hubs to allow for our Baja team to manufacture our corners in-house by using a 3-axis CNC mill. Their capstone allows for a stronger, lighter and cheaper design that would help create improved suspension points for our vehicle.

Congratulations to you all - Francesco, PJ, Emanuel, Philip & Michele (left to right). We can’t wait to run these corners soon! ⚙️

Last week, the Concordia Baja Racing team showcased their most recent iteration of our car at this year’s AutoX event alongside the Aerodesign and Formula teams. It was an incredible opportunity to celebrate our achievements from the past year and display TIA, CBR23, to our incredible sponsors, alumni and staff who have continuously supported us!

This year our team brought TIA to 3 competitions, placing higher in ranking every time. In June, the team went to Maryland to compete in the official SAE competition. We ran CBR23 for the first time and placed 39th out of 101 teams! Our second competition of the year was OktoBaja fest in October. The team received a #1 pit crew award and placed 3rd in the endurance race!🥉Most recently, the team competed in ÉDN in February and placed 5th overall in dynamic events out of 25 teams. We were able to place 4th in endurance and 2nd in the design presentation! 🏆 This year’s competition season was incredible and we cannot wait to reach even greater heights with your support!

This past weekend the CBR team competed in the EDN 2026 competition hosted by l’Univeristé Laval. It was an incredible opportunity and we are so proud to announce that we placed 5th overall out of 25th teams! 🏆
