The baja team designs, manufactures and builds an all terrain vehicle to compete in Baja SAE comps!

The object of the competition is to simulate real-world engineering design projects and their related challenges. Each team is competing to have its design accepted for manufacture by a fictitious firm. The students must function as a team to design, build, test, promote and compete with a vehicle within the limits of the rules. They must also generate financial support for their project and manage their educational priorities.

Last week, the Concordia Baja Racing team showcased their most recent iteration of our car at this year’s AutoX event alongside the Aerodesign and Formula teams. It was an incredible opportunity to celebrate our achievements from the past year and display TIA, CBR23, to our incredible sponsors, alumni and staff who have continuously supported us!

This year our team brought TIA to 3 competitions, placing higher in ranking every time. In June, the team went to Maryland to compete in the official SAE competition. We ran CBR23 for the first time and placed 39th out of 101 teams! Our second competition of the year was OktoBaja fest in October. The team received a #1 pit crew award and placed 3rd in the endurance race!🥉Most recently, the team competed in ÉDN in February and placed 5th overall in dynamic events out of 25 teams. We were able to place 4th in endurance and 2nd in the design presentation! 🏆 This year’s competition season was incredible and we cannot wait to reach even greater heights with your support!

This past weekend the CBR team competed in the EDN 2026 competition hosted by l’Univeristé Laval. It was an incredible opportunity and we are so proud to announce that we placed 5th overall out of 25th teams! 🏆

Last weekend at the 2025 OktoBAJA Fest Competiton, the CBR team was proud to have brought home 2 awards thanks to the dedication and commitment of our hardworking team members. 🥳

CBR 23 aka TIA placed 3rd in the competition’s 4 hour long endurance race!🥉A huge thank you to our team’s driver PJ Schembre () for driving as incredibly as he did and thank you to our amazing pit crew for staying on top of everything during the race. The pit crew’s and team’s preparation also awarded the CBR team with a #1 pit crew award after passing our technical inspection with 0 infractions and having organized pits.🥇Thank you to our technical director - Chelsea Kezber , our race director - Alexander Parthimos and pit master - Ksenia Jaszczewska for being one of the main reasons the team received this award.

A final thank you to everyone involved in building CBR23 - this would not have been possible without the continued support of our staff, sponsors and most importantly our devoted team members! 🏁🚘

This past weekend, the Concordia Baja Racing team competed in the 2025 OktoBAJA Fest hosted by Clarkson University! This event was an incredible opportunity for our members to gain competition experience and allowed our team to finish with an overall position of 9th place. 🏁🚘⚙️
