Join us as we explore the fascinating world of orchestral percussion! Discover the sounds of the timpani, cymbals, snare drum, triangle, tambourine, and mallet instruments. Learn about playing techniques, percussion notation, and even try some percussion instruments yourself. 🎵✨

Expect plenty of listening, lively discussion, and an opportunity to gain a new appreciation for the musicians who bring excitement, colour, and drama to orchestral performances. 🎼👏

🎉 Celebrating 325 Years of the Great Peace of Montreal (1701–2026) 🎉

🌿 Did you know? The Great Peace of Montreal brought together more than 30 Indigenous nations and representatives of New France in what remains one of the most significant diplomatic agreements in North American history. Its legacy continues to inspire dialogue, understanding, and reconciliation today.

🎓 For MCLL members who enjoy exploring history, McGill's School of Continuing Studies has hosted public lectures on The Great Peace of Montreal, highlighting its significance in the history of Montreal and Canada and deepening our understanding of the people and events that shaped our city.
