The wait is over—Take Back the Night is happening TONIGHT! 🌙💜

Join us as we stand together against sexual violence, support survivors, and make our voices heard. This is more than just an event—it’s a movement, and your presence matters.

📍 Starting Point: Beban Park (the parking lot next to the playground)
🕔 Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
📢 Powerful speakers & a night of solidarity
💜While not mandatory, we encourage everyone to wear purple in support of the march!

The VIU Faculty Association Women's & Gender Equity Committee celebrates Transgender Day of Visibility and gives thanks to VIU's Positive Space Alliance for organizing this wonderful opportunity to engage directly with the incredibly talented Ivan Coyote (live via Zoom).

Attend this event today, and find ways to support trans, non-binary, and gender diverse individuals and communities, from organizing to support and protect bodily autonomy and gender-affirming care, to insisting on equitable and inclusive workplace practices, to listening and to learning from stories shared, and beyond.

Ivan Coyote is a writer and storyteller, the author of 13 books, the creator of four films, three albums and an international touring performer.
