This is your opportunity to hear from local entrepreneurs who are eager to discuss their real-world experiences and current projects! Their experience and expertise will leave you inspired, especially when you consider the fact that three of our four featured speakers are Douglas College graduates! You're sure to leave this event with a new understanding of entrepreneurs as the backbone of our economy.

The goal of the Virtual Entrepreneurship Panel is to give students college the opportunity to hear from local entrepreneurs who have created their entrepreneurial ventures and are eager to discuss their real-world experiences and their current projects.

We want students to draw inspiration from real-world information by innovative entrepreneurs, including 3 Douglas graduates! By attending this event, students will leave with a strong understanding of the backbone of the economy, society, and all businesses, known as entrepreneurs!

Are you a student interested in obtaining your CFA designation? 💭

Join us over Zoom on Tuesday, November 9th from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm for our Fall 2021 CFA Info Session! 📌

Industry representative Kai Shi will be one of our speakers. Kai is a member of the CFA University Outreach Committee that works at British Columbia Securities Commission as a compliance officer. Prior to joining the commission, he worked many years at PwC as a financial statement auditor. He has in-depth knowledge of accounting concepts and a well understanding of the investment brokerage industry. In addition, we will have guest speakers from RBC and Odlum Brown. They will be addressing the CFA designation, the application process as well as any questions pertaining to personal experiences.

The event will discuss the following topics and much more:
* What is the CFA?
* Why obtain the designation?
* Ways to obtain
* Benefits (Opportunities, etc.)
* Experiences
* Day to day life
