Celebrating our newest graduates and their success 🎓 🥳 💙

Success is on the menu for four new graduates from Niagara College’s Class of 2026 who were recently honoured with Benchmark Student Experience Scholarships.

Established to celebrate students within the Culinary, Tourism, and Beverage Studies division who bring more to the table than just academic excellence, the winter term scholarships were awarded for leadership, teamwork, and tireless dedication to Benchmark restaurant and various charitable initiatives.

Welcome to our NC alumni family! Another NC grad success story to celebrate. 🥳 🎓 💙

Community and Justice Services grad Ruby Hill transferred to Niagara College after spending a year studying Sociology at Brock University. While she wasn’t entirely certain of her long-term career path at the time, she was drawn to a program that would allow her to explore her interests in law, justice, and community support while helping her determine her future direction.

Her hard work and dedication paid off. Graduating with an impressive 95.79 per cent average, Ruby has been named the Dean’s Award recipient for the School of Justice and Fitness.

Wow what a week!! 🥳

Celebrating our graduates cross the stage and welcoming them into our NC alumni family. 🎓 💙

After six days, 12 high-energy ceremonies and thousands of congratulatory handshakes, Niagara College officially concluded its largest ever Spring Convocation on Saturday, June 13.

The marathon event marked a historic milestone for the College, adding approximately 7,000 new graduates to its global alumni family of well over 150,000.

Another amazing graduate to welcome into our NC alumni family 🥳 🎓 💙

A love of nature, gardening, and the outdoors inspired Jessica Hachey to take step into a new career.

Jessica is graduated from Niagara College’s Horticulture Technician program as the Dean’s Award recipient for the School of Environment and Horticulture with an outstanding 97.24 per cent average.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Human Resources Management diploma from McMaster University, Jessica spent nearly a decade working as a Recruitment Consultant with the Ministry of Transportation. Following the birth of her daughter, she launched a successful family and wedding photography business, allowing her to spend more time at home.

🥳 What a day 💙

On day five, more than 900 graduates celebrated their hard-earned credentials on June 12 as they crossed the stage during day five of Niagara College’s Spring 2026 Convocation.

Michael Mann, a member of the College’s Board of Governors, joined both ceremonies, addressing graduands on behalf of the Board. “We are deeply honoured to have been part of your incredible journey,” said Mann. “Your success is our success, and we can’t wait to witness your remarkable achievements that lie ahead.”

🎓 Bob Martin received an Honorary Diploma in Environment and Horticulture from the College.

🎓 Nashwa Higazy received the prestigious Governor General’s Silver Academic Medal for achieving a 94.93 GPA – the highest in a degree diploma.

🎓 Accepting the Distinguished Alumni Award during the ceremony was especially meaningful for Anderson, who graduated virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic. She addressed the Class of 2026, sharing words of wisdom.

Another milestone moment, welcome to the NC alumni family! 🥳 🎓 💙

For Julie Carmichael, convocation represents the culmination of hard work, growth and commitment, and marks the achievement of a goal she has pursued since the day she entered the Office Administration – Executive program.

Julie enrolled at Niagara College after building experience in the food service, retail and manufacturing sectors. Drawn to the program’s practical, career-focused approach, she quickly found herself thriving in an environment that aligned with her strengths in organization, accuracy and problem-solving.

Welcoming another amazing graduate into the NC alumni family! 🥳 🎓 💙

For Business Administration – Human Resources (Co-op) grad Hridhya Sathyajith, Niagara College became a place not only to earn an education, but also where she discovered her confidence and developed into a leader.

Hridhya made the most of every opportunity available to her during her time at NC. Throughout her studies, she served as the class representative and one of the longest-serving members of the HR@NC Student Club, an extracurricular association that organizes Human Resources workshops, networking events, speaker panels, and keynote presentations for students interested in the profession.
