📚🎉 September, here we go!

Just one week until the start of a new academic year at Niagara College, and we can't wait to welcome our new and returning students to campus!

Starting a new semester brings exciting opportunities, new friendships, and new experiences. It can also come with a few nerves, and that's completely normal. The first days and weeks are all part of the journey.

We were happy to join the final cohort of Niagara College's Child and Youth Care students to study at the Welland Campus at M.T. Bellies to celebrate the completion of their program. Joined by their professors, they shared an evening filled with stories, laughter, and reflection as they marked this significant achievement together.

Did you know NC beer has won medals on the world stage? 🎉🍻

Recently, our alumni from the Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management program have recently brought home Silver 🥈 for NC Craft IPA at the prestigious 2026 U.S. Open Beer Championship.

The award-winning beer represents the latest version developed by Head Brewer Ian Morrison, with support from Lead Brewer Adam Marshall during the Winter term. Check out the story here 👇

Niagara College’s Teaching Brewery has added another feather to its brewing cap, with NC Craft IPA taking silver at the prestigious 2026 U.S. Open Beer Championship in the highly competitive English India Pale Ale / IPA category.

The winning IPA was developed by Head Brewer Ian Morrison, with Lead Brewer Adam Marshall, and both second- and final-semester students contributing to the brew. With entries from around the globe across more than 180 categories and subcategories, the silver is a great reflection of the quality and care that goes into NC Craft beers, and the hands-on learning students experience throughout the brewing process. In 2022, Andy Orban left the assembly line to do some soul-searching and stumbled upon a one-day trades boot camp.

His curiosity led him to a framing future: From College program to Red Seal Carpenter in four years.
