This week’s Chamber Chat features Dr. Taylor Lougheed, Sport Medicine Physician with North Bay Sport Medicine!

Located in the heart of downtown North Bay, North Bay Sport Medicine brings together a multidisciplinary team focused on helping people recover from injuries, prevent future injuries and perform at their best.

The clinic offers a wide range of services, including sport medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, massage therapy, sport dietetics, functional movement screening, custom brace fitting and joint and soft tissue injections. Their team works collaboratively to support patients, clients and athletes of all ages.

During our conversation, Dr. Lougheed shared more about the role of sport medicine and the clinic’s approach to helping people stay active and healthy. Sport medicine isn’t just for competitive athletes - it can support active individuals dealing with injuries, pain or mobility concerns and help people safely get back to the activities they enjoy.

North Bay Sport Medicine has continued to grow since opening in 2023, moving into its permanent downtown location in 2025 and building a team of professionals across several areas of care. Their clinic includes private assessment and treatment spaces as well as a 1,000-square-foot treatment gym.

When government is looking for input on what businesses need, it’s important that the people working directly with those businesses are part of the conversation.

As part of the Budget 2026 consultation with MP Pauline Rochefort, the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce reached out to accounting firms within our membership to be part of the conversation. We were grateful to have representatives from FCR, BDO and KPMG able to attend and share their expertise.

This is an important part of what we do as a Chamber - creating opportunities for our members to bring their knowledge and experience directly to decision-makers and helping ensure the needs of our region are represented in conversations happening at the federal level.

Thank you to MP Rochefort for the opportunity to contribute to the Budget 2026 conversation, and to our members for bringing their perspectives to the table.
