September 30 is Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.🧡

Orange Shirt Day is a national day of remembrance and learning that honours Indigenous children who were taken from their families and placed in Canada’s residential school system. It is a time to recognize the ongoing impact of these schools and to and to stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities.

At Canadore’s First Peoples’ Centre, we invite everyone to wear orange, listen, learn, and reflect. Enso Binoojiinh Piitendaagzi -Every Child Matters 🧡

Learning the truth is the first step toward building a more just and inclusive future.
