Interactive Photo Project

Join Wayne Dunkley, EDI Advisor for Capilano University, in exploring the notion of "What you feel when." Using photographs, posters and writing, we will explore the assumptions and other thoughts we have of each other here on campus and in our everyday lives. Participants will create a photo portrait of themselves. We will then digitally alter the portraits with words and other effects that most express the feeling of each participant. We will then go as a group and place those portraits around campus as "posters" (they will not be put onto building surfaces but will be placed on wire stands).

Over the course of the Catalyst week workshop, participants will return to each location where their posters were placed and re-photograph them as they are altered by rain or other events. Participants will have the choice to share their photos with the hashtag . Everyone will be encouraged to keep a journal over the week. In the final session, we will share thoughts about the process of the project.

Wellness Wednesdays have been a blast lately! Enjoy these happy moments we captured from the last couple weeks. ♥️

Haven’t had a chance to come to wellness Wednesday yet? Not to worry - It’s happening every Wednesday for the rest of the semester!! Stop by the Library learning commons between 11:30am-1pm, play all sorts of games, socialize with other students, grab some snacks, and learn about wellness ressources on campus!

Zanthia (on the left) prefers Chop Suey by System of a Down, and Sophie (on the right) usually goes with Counting Stars by OneRepublic. You will definitely hear these hits and many more on Thursday, September 8th, in the CSU lounge (📍Library) as part of our Karaoke Event.

If you want to fill your day with music, become a rockstar, and sing hits from any era, drop by the CSU lounge in the Library from 11:30 AM to 1 PM.

Bring your friends and meet new people! Sing along to your favorite tracks, or just drop by to cheer on others while you enjoy FREE snacks & drinks!
