Travel and earn academic credit by joining an EPIC cruise trip on February 26 - March 5, 2023!

🏝 Spend an exhilarating week discovering the wonders of the Southern Caribbean. Admire the white sands, cobalt-blue sea and pastel-hued Dutch colonial buildings of charming Oranjestad.

🐠Then surround yourself with a rainbow of tropical fish while snorkelling off the coast of Bonaire. And explore a well-preserved sugar plantation in St. Kitts, plus enjoy high tea with all the trimmings.

🌎The MILE (Mobile Intensive Learning Experience) is a program that combines both classroom and experiential learning.

🧳Students travel to different parts of the world to experience firsthand the country and culture and to learn more, in addition to what they have learned from lectures and readings.

💰Funding for this opportunity may be available to eligible students through the International Experience Grant, which is a Seneca bursary, and Global Skills Opportunity, which is funded by the Government of Canada’s Outbound Student Mobility Pilot Program.

📍 Naples is the third largest urban economy in Italy, it boasts centuries of important art and architecture like Gesu Nuovo Church, with its sumptuous interior embellished with detailed paintings, statues and gold inlay. Capri is known for its rocky scenery, luxurious hotels and shopping, which includes everything from designer fashions to limoncello and handcrafted leather sandals.

📍 Civitavecchia, which sparked the world's largest empire and is still very much alive today with a jumble of ancient ruins, world-renowned art, and energetic street culture, was built in the 2nd century. Some of Civitavecchia's original features, such as the Roman Dock, have been preserved.

📍 The most famous cities in La Spezia, Italy, are Florence and Pisa, which are home to many Renaissance masterpieces. You can get to the top for iconic Duomo (“dome”), the nickname for the Italian Gothic Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral, to overlook the stunning 360-degree views of the city in Florence. Take an hour by car or train to Pisa to see the city’s renowned leaning tower and its sister-structure, the Pisa Catherdral, with their white-stone arches.

Paella is probably the most well-known Spanish dish in the world which originated in Valencia. Paella Valenciana is a traditional paella made with rice, green beans, peas, rabbit, and chicken cooked in olive oil and chicken broth, while Paella de marisco (Seafood Paella) replaces seafood for meat.

📍 Marseille, the oldest city of France, combine ancient charm with Provencal beauty. Visiting the Quai des Belges fish market which operates over 2,600 years in the morning, stroll through the promenades and 18th-century warehouses, and grab a cafe au lait and a melon tarte from one of the ground-floor cafes. Also visit the golden statue of the Virgin and Child which was built in the 19th century dominates the Marseille skyline on a cruise to Provence and visit the art museum to see modern architecture and Mediterranean cultural artifacts.

📍 Palma de Mallorca is a tourist destination and the capital of Mallorca, a Spanish island in the Western Mediterranean. It has a diverse cultural heritage, owing to succeeding groups of Romans, Moors, and Catholics who have lived here since 123 BC. It is no surprise that Palma is so popular now, with its massive cathedral, sand beaches, and delicious food specialties. It is a close getaway from Europe, with pleasant temperatures from April to October.
