The Olds College Racehorse programs are funded by Horse Racing Alberta in Partnership with Olds College. These programs provide training to anyone with an interest in a career with horses. The Groom Training Program gives you the tools to be able to work in the industry at the racetrack, breeding and training farms, with flat racers or harness racers. This is a solid introduction to the Horse Raci

ng industry. No previous equine experience is needed. The Exercise Rider/Jockey program is a physically and mentally demanding designed to prepare you to be an exercise rider in the flat racing part of the industry with theory on jockey. You will have the ability to work at racetracks across Alberta or training farms. This is an entry level program that will place you in industry with mentors to help you to your next step. Both programs guarantee employment.
