Students from one of our full-time cohorts recently visited New Tecumseth Fire Rescue Station 3 for a Career Day experience. 🔥

Students had the opportunity to connect with Fire Chief Dan Heydon, Assistant District Chief Peter Ouellet, and District Fire Chief Jay Patterson, gaining insight into the realities of a career in municipal fire service and learning more about the opportunities, expectations, and experiences that come with the profession.

Experiences like these provide our students with valuable exposure to working fire departments and the professionals who serve their communities every day.

Ontario Fire Academy students recently had the opportunity to visit the Canadian Armed Forces Fire and CBRN Academy.

Our students had a great time exploring the academy and gaining exposure to specialized fire and CBRN training, military emergency-response operations, and career opportunities within the Canadian Armed Forces.

The tour provided a valuable look at the training environment and helped broaden their understanding of the many pathways available in the fire service.

We were honoured to welcome Deputy Chief Kalpana Rajgopalan, and Chief Fire Prevention Officer Jonathan O'Neil, from Oakville Fire Department to the Ontario Fire Academy. 🚒
