The Ontario Tech First-Year Engineering Council (FYEC) is an Engineering club that is meant for first-year undergraduate engineering students only. FYEC represents and supports all first-year engineers at ONTARIO TECH UNIVERSITY. FYEC is an amazing opportunity for first-year students to take on leadership roles in the student community while advocating on behalf of the interests and needs of their engineering peers. Your main role is to aid your peers in helping them transition into university life. You will also host events throughout the year and get the opportunity to become future leaders for your peers. Above all, you will ensure that you and your peers have a positive experience at Ontario Tech University.

Congratulations to all you first year engineers for completing your first year at UOIT. It was an honor to host events throughout the year and helping you all transition into the university life (despite we were first years as well). As we end the year and move on through the rest of our years at UOIT, we would like to say never give up. Life is a Journey. You are not going to get far unless you work hard for it.
