Great news today from the CRTC! Algonquin College Radio Station CKDJ-FM was granted a full 7 year license renewal until 2030!

The station celebrates its 29th anniversary this August! MANY amazing on-air talent have cracked the mic at CKDJ over the years. If you are alumni - please check in here on this thread!

The original licence expiry date for the station was 31 August 2021. The licence was administratively renewed until 31 August 2022 as a result of Broadcasting Decision 2020-381 and until 31 August 2023 as a result of Broadcasting Decision 2021-299.

We’d just like to take a moment to thank all of our incredible industry partners, from Radio Stations to Podcasters and Sports Organizations who have helped us find creative ways to allow our graduating students opportunities to complete their field work studies. It has not been easy in the COVID 19 Era, but just about ALL of our graduating students have found opportunities in industry to work on a field work placement.

My thanks to all of our great industry partners for your continued support of our program!

Today - another edition of Algonquin Sessions!

It’s a collaboration between our Music Industry Arts students and CKDJ 107.9 and the Radio Broadcasting Program!

Students will learn how to do a live mix in studio, and we are broadcasting it live on CKDJ 107.9 FM!

We will be starting shortly after 10am!
