Centre for Indigenous Support and Community Engagement We foster a welcoming environment where Indigenous students, staff, faculty and the broader Carleton community can learn, grow and connect.

We create culturally-grounded spaces for dialogue and learning, guided by Indigenous ways of knowing and being. The Centre for Indigenous Support and Community Engagement (CISCE) welcomes and supports Indigenous peoples who work and study at Carleton University, as students, faculty and professional services staff. The Centre aims to inspire, encourage and empower the Carleton community to work co

llaboratively in creating and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships with Indigenous peoples and communities. The team works to create programs and services that support the Carleton community to ensure Indigenous cultures, traditions, histories and worldviews are respected and represented on campus. CISCE hosts a variety of programs and events in the Ojigkwanong Centre (228 Paterson Hall) throughout the academic year. We also host Indigenous public lectures, pow wows and other cultural events to provide a learning and sharing environment for the Carleton community, which helps to promote knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures, traditions, histories, worldviews and contemporary issues.

The Nunavut Wildlife Management Board (NWMB) is offering to support Nunavut students pursuing post-secondary education in wildlife biology, wildlife management, or the application of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit in wildlife management.

Applicants must be:
- Entering or continuing post-secondary education.
- Currently a resident of Nunavut and have resided in the territory for at least 2 years.
- Demonstrate a minimum academic achievement of 65% overall.

Are you passionate about supporting Indigenous student success, holistic well-being, and community building? We're looking for an IESP Academic and Wellness Workshop Facilitator to join the Centre for Indigenous Support and Community Engagement team.

In this highly rewarding role, you will:
✨ Plan and deliver weekly academic seminars for students in the Indigenous Enriched Support Program (IESP).
✨ Lead the Mino Bimadziwin wellness workshops to foster a deep sense of belonging and community.
✨ Help students build essential post-secondary skills in reading, writing, and research.
✨ Support students holistically by checking in on their academic progress and well-being.

Indigenous Youth Roots is recruiting for their 7th annual cohort of their Indigenous Youth Policy School!

This 9-month program will begin in September 2026 and is seeking solutions-focused Indigenous youth (age 18-29) who are inspired to make changes in policy areas that matter to them!

Connect with policy as a tool for advocacy and feel empowered as a leader in your community. Open to all Indigenous Youth across Canada. This is a tuition-free program with no academic or professional requirements. Honoraria provided throughout.

No experience needed, just an interest in policy, and a commitment to take part in this exciting program!
