Alternative Approaches and Global Concerns

Alternative Approaches and Global Concerns A small group of scholars representing alternative perspectives on global concerns launched a series of dialogues and conferences on morality and terrorism.

APGC is a multidisciplinary organization supported by scholars, academic units and institutions, benevolent policy-makers, and organizations of civil society worldwide whose concern is with issues sweeping across our global community. In 2006, the roundtable on Moral Reasoning in International Relations was held at Saint Paul University. It was followed by two international conferences in 2008 and

2009 at the same university. Speakers from the humanities and the social sciences discussed different dimensions of a global network of scholars whose concern was global issues threatening humanity. Initiated and led by Dr. Mahmoud Masaeli from Saint Paul University in Ottawa the network gradually grew while receiving constant consulting support from Dr. Jalil Roshandel from East Carolina University, the USA and Dr. Rico Sneller from Leiden University, the Netherlands. Today, a number of scholars from Canada, USA, the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, Sweden, Germany, Greece, Norway, Turkey, Colombia, South Africa, and Iran have joined the network.
