Student opportunities at CATSA this summer!

Protect yourself against fraud! People claiming to work for or on behalf of CATSA are sending invoices to victims asking for payments. CATSA never requests payments from individuals seeking to come to Canada. This is a scam.

Hello Fellow IPIS Students:

This Saturday morning (Sept 26), I am planning a hike in the Gatineau Park – Luskville Falls Trail. If you are interested in getting some fresh air, see the fall colours, and maybe meet other IPIS students in person (while practicing COVID-19 safety protocols) please join me. The Luskville Falls Trail is located in a “quieter” part of the park but no guarantees given that the weather looks promising and I am sure everyone else is thinking of doing the same.

If you are interested, just show up (you don’t have to let me know). I’ll hold up a sign so that you will know who to look for when you get there.

Time and Location:

Time: 1000 – 1015 AM at the Luskville Falls Trail Parking Lot (it’s about 45 minutes from Carleton)

Location:

Important Notes and Things To Bring:
•2.5 hr hike – challenging if you haven’t hiked before
•No dogs allowed
•Bring: Water, snacks, lunch, coffee...
•Wear really good walking or hiking shoes
•Dress accordingly to weather
•If it begins to rain by 9:30 AM, the hike will be cancelled as the trail can be very slippery.

If you don’t have a ride...but would really like to attend, I can accommodate up to three people (with masks). Just send me an email: [email protected] by Friday 3 PM and we can arrange something. It will be first come first served.

Also, please note that this is not an official IPIS event. Carleton University or IPIS Student’s Association (or me for that matter) does not assume any responsibility or liability for this hike.

Cheers,
Eric
