GLOBAL JOURNALISM INTERNSHIPS 2020 - INFORMATION SESSION

The Centre for Media and Transitional Societies (CMTS) at Carleton University’s School of Journalism and Communication is once again offering our Global Journalism Internships.

Through this program, senior students in Carletion’s Journalism and Communication program can take up media placements this spring and summer in such locations as Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Rwanda, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Vietnam. Placements are offered with our partners Farm Radio International, WUSC and Kigali Today.

Successful applicants will receive a travel bursary through the CMTS to cover most of their costs.

An information session about the program will be held prior to the opening of the application process.

Great briefing session tonight on the 2018 CMTS Developing World Media Internships. We had presentations from three of last year's interns - Andrew Savory, who went to Vietnam, Greer Gemin, who went to Sri Lanka and Hamzia Bawa-Zeba, who went to Ghana. Prof. Allan Thompson outlined the details of this year's application process and Kate Jones from WUSC described the internship program. Applications are due on Feb. 2. Find the application information on the School of Journalism and Communication website - https://carleton.ca/sjc/2018/centre-media-transitional-societies-internship-deadline-approaching-2/ .
