Dr. Sarafina Pagnotta is our Department's first graduate in the PhD in Public History Program. She was also awarded a Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement.

💭Favourite Memory/Class/Experience: "I started my PhD in September 2020, so the coursework portion of my degree was completed online. I am grateful to the professors in the department who made the experience as enjoyable as possible. I also very much enjoyed the events organized by the History Graduate Students' Association (HGSA), especially our evening visit to the National Gallery of Canada."

✈️Plans After Graduation: "I am excited to continue working as a Contract Instructor in the History Department teaching my course on Canadian war art history, and in the Research Department at the Canadian War Museum."

📝Advice: "Read as much as you can, ask questions, and always define your terms!"
