Sprott’s new Master of Accounting (MAcc) is a rigorous program that will provide a gateway to a career as a professional accountant. Students graduating from the MAcc will be exempt from the CPA Canada Professional Education Program (PEP) and will proceed directly to the CPA Canada Common Final Examination, which is the final step in becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant. Delivered over 16

months, including two summers of full-time study plus a 4-month internship placement, the MAcc goes beyond the requirements of CPA Canada, providing you with all four competencies you need to work in this field: assurance, tax, finance, and performance management. You will also engage in applied research that is not undertaken in the CPA’s Professional Education Program. The program capitalizes on the expertise of accounting faculty within the Sprott School of Business who are experts on the competencies required by the accounting professional.
