We love our community partners and how they support our students from placement to employment! Abhi is another graduate who is now employed at Alternatives Community Program Services Peterborough and making a difference every single day in his role. We are so proud of Abhi and all of our graduates!

Meet Abhi! 👋🏻

Abhi’s story is a bit different than our other posts this week …

Abhi came to Alternatives in January 2024, as our placement student in our Fundamental Skills Day Program. Abhi was an outstanding placement student, and brought a new perspective to so much. Once Abhi’s placement was over, he was approached with a contract position to fulfill, which he happily accepted!

Soon after, a permanent position opened, and Abhi was approached for position too. And, the rest is history! Abhi’s transition from volunteer to staff was a fantastic experience - he’s shown us the benefits of volunteering, and how hard work pays off. We are SO thankful for you, Abhi! 🌟👏🏻

Meet Ivy! Ivy was one of our placement students in the Fundamental Skills Day Program.

Ivy brought positivity and eagerness to our program, and everyday displayed her confidence in the field, and her dedication to continue to learn. We are so grateful for the connections and relationships Ivy created here, and Ivy’s commitment to making the FS program a fun, safe space!

We are so thankful for Ivy, and all that she did for the Fundamental Skills program, and Alternatives!
