In the Christ of the Apocalypse, Msgr. Nusca offers an exegetical reading of selected verses of the Book of Revelation, incorporating rich spiritual and pastoral reflections, while affirming that St. John’s God- and Christ-centered, symbolic universe offers our contemporary world a spiritual 'place to stand' amid the shifting sands of postmodernity. As Cardinal Thomas Collins, Archbishop of Toronto, writes in his Foreword, “The Christ of the Apocalypse is a book to be read and reread with great spiritual profit, so that in reading the Book of Revelation we may become fully engaged in our difficult but glorious mission as faithful disciples of Christ, the Lamb who was slain but who rules the universe in majesty.”

Endorsements:
“Masterfully written by someone who obviously has presented the Book of Revelation in various pastoral and theological settings. Highly recommended reading for theology and spirituality.” Fr. Michael Kolarcik, S.J., Rector, Pontifical Biblical Institute, Rome

“A remarkable tour through the least read and most misunderstood book of the New Testament: informative and challenging; deeply learned yet entirely accessible; an inspiring, emboldening contribution to the New Evangelization.” George Weigel, Distinguished Senior Fellow and William E. Simon, Chair in Catholic Studies Ethics and Public Policy Center

“In Msgr. Nusca’s accessible style, a scriptural book that may appear remote is revealed as charged with life and valuable for our spiritual lives today.” Fr. Timothy M. Gallagher, O.M.V. Author, The Discernment of Spirits: An Ignatian Guide for Everyday Living

“This book is very readable and will contribute to both personal faith and pastoral practice.” Prosper Cardinal Grech, O.S.A., Co-Founder, Institutum Patristicum Augustinianum

“This is an inspired book, which is clearly the product of not only deep and wide learning but also profound and prayerful contemplation. . . . This is biblical scholarship at its finest and most spiritually potent form!” Khaled Anatolios, Professor of Theology University of Notre Dame

“Nusca does not offer us a predictive code for the Bible’s final book, but a path that leads us in, through, and towards God in Christ. . . . Nusca shows a ‘mirror’of the truth, but also the mirror of a real ‘struggle,’ one of enormous, infinite cost that takes us through the postmodern assaults on our spirits to the divine end of our life with God. This is necessary reading for every Christian leader today.” Ephraim Radner Professor of Historical Theology Wycliffe College, Toronto
