🌲 Une forte mobilisation du CRMR à l’IBFRA 2026! 🌎
Du 24 au 28 août, le congrès de l’International Boreal Forest Research Association (IBFRA) a réuni 286 participantes et participants de 15 pays au Centre des congrès de Québec.
Organisé sous l’égide de l’Université Laval, le congrès était dirigé par le professeur Alexis Achim et son équipe, en collaboration avec des partenaires de Ressources naturelles Canada et de l’Université de la Colombie-Britannique. 👏
🔬 Le CRMR était fièrement représenté! Plusieurs membres de notre communauté ont présenté leurs travaux sur des enjeux clés liés aux changements climatiques, au carbone, à la télédétection, à la régénération forestière, à la biodiversité et à la résilience des forêts boréales.
Une mention spéciale à notre relève étudiante et à nos stagiaires postdoctoraux, qui se sont particulièrement distingués par leur participation aux communications orales et aux séances d’affiches : Antoine Harel, Catherine Beaulieu, Helin Dura, João Paulo Czarnecki de Liz, Maimoona Birjees, Véronique Rouleau, Sébastien Dumont, Sanjoy Roy, Thomas Bouffard, Léna Mazuryk, Marie-Anne Michaud-Valcourt, Florence Leduc, Hamid Ghanbari, Claudie-Maude Canuel , Adrien Debas et David Voyer. 👩🔬👨🔬
Nous soulignons également la participation de la professeure Evelyne Thiffault, qui a présenté ses travaux sur l’intégration de la foresterie dans la politique climatique du Québec, ainsi que les possibilités et les enjeux qui en découlent.
👏 Félicitations à toute la communauté du CRMR pour cette remarquable contribution à la recherche sur les forêts boréales! Et un grand bravo au professeur Alexis Achim et à son équipe ((Catherine Chagnon et Emmanuelle Baby-Bouchard) pour l’organisation de ce grand rendez-vous scientifique international! 🌎🌲

🌲 Strong CRMR presence at IBFRA 2026! 🌎
From August 24 to 28, the International Boreal Forest Research Association (IBFRA) congress brought together 286 participants from 15 countries at the Québec City Convention Centre. Held under the auspices of Université Laval, the congress was led by Professor Alexis Achim and his team, in collaboration with partners from Natural Resources Canada and the University of British Columbia. 👏
🔬 CRMR was proudly represented! Special recognition goes to our student researchers and postdoctoral fellows, who made a strong contribution through oral presentations and poster sessions: Antoine Harel, Catherine Beaulieu, Helin Dura, João Paulo Czarnecki de Liz, Maimoona Birjees, Véronique Rouleau, Sébastien Dumont, Sanjoy Roy, Thomas Bouffard, Lena Mazuryk, Marie-Anne Michaud-Valcourt, Hamid Ghambari, and David Voyer.
We also recognize Professor Evelyne Thiffault for her presentation on forestry and Québec’s climate policy.
