🎉 Another SOLD-OUT Engineering Dinner! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our 3rd Annual Engineering Dinner!

This year's event was another roaring success, and we couldn't have done it without the incredible support of our community!

💥 A day for high schoolers to visit labs and perform real engineering tasks, meet engineers in the field, and get to know U of R students and professors. There are sessions for parents, guardians, and teachers in the morning as well!
💥 Instead of telling you what Engineering is, you get to see it and do it for yourself. Bring some friends, and come try it out! Register today!

The Saskatchewan Science Centre is proud to celebrate Nuclear Science Week on Saturday, October 24, 2026, with an afternoon of activities and presentations designed to help the public explore and better understand nuclear science.

From 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM, visitors can enjoy all of the Science Centre’s regular exhibits along with special activities highlighting nuclear science, led by community partners and our staff.

At 3:30 PM, guests are invited to a special "Let’s Talk Nuclear” presentation featuring a leading expert, Dr. Arthur Situm, Assistant Professor of Energy Systems Engineering at the University of Regina.

He will introduce the fundamentals of nuclear energy and discuss Saskatchewan’s work in advancing small modular reactor (SMR) development. The presentation will conclude with an open Q&A session, giving attendees the chance to ask questions and learn directly from an expert.

Congratulations to the Elevate XP team on their success at the recent National Exposition competition!

The team earned 2nd Runner-Up honours for their Elevate XP project, showcasing their innovation, teamwork, and dedication on the national stage.

We would also like to recognize Pall Agarwal, former Co-President of the team, who was named a Top 10 Finalist for the Woman Leader of the Year Award.

The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science was proud to support the team's participation in the competition and celebrate these outstanding achievements!

On February 11th, we hosted our second Industry Mixer, which was sponsored by APEGS!

This event allows students to meet engineering professionals and get to know the ins and outs of the industry before they are even in it. And it serves as a great networking opportunity!
