The 2026 teacher internship journey is officially underway!
Our teacher candidates came together with their cooperating teachers for a day of learning, connection, mentorship and collaboration as they prepare to begin their internships.
Through the day’s sessions and conversations, our interns gained a clearer understanding of what lies ahead in their classrooms and are ready to take the next step and put their learning into practice.
A heartfelt thank-you to our wonderful cooperating teachers and school partners for supporting our teacher candidates throughout this important part of their teacher education journey.

This casual position (12–16 hours per week) offers hands-on experience in administration, communications, event coordination, and student services while supporting current and future students.

"This partnership creates exciting opportunities to work alongside researchers and communities across Canada to better understand the role that animal-human relationships play in our lives. Congratulations to Dr. Marc Spooner, Professor in the Faculty of Education, University of Regina, on receiving the 2026 Public Education Advocacy Award from the Canadian Teachers' Federation CTF - FCE. Nominated by the Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation, Dr. Spooner is being recognized for his longstanding commitment to public education through research, advocacy, and community engagement.
His work has made a significant contribution to conversations about educational equity, social justice, and the future of education.
These photos capture a proud moment of national recognition for a scholar whose work continues to inspire educators, students, and communities across Canada.

As we celebrate the achievements of our Spring 2026 graduates, we are pleased to recognize Bao Yang (BEd Elementary, YNTEP After Degree), recipient of the Bachelor of Education After Degree (BEAD) Prize.
Graduating with Great Distinction and an exceptional 94.16% program GPA, Bo was recognized as the Most Distinguished Graduate in the Bachelor of Education After Degree program. Throughout her studies, she demonstrated academic excellence and a deep commitment to creating welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environments for all learners.
Originally from Guangdong, China, Bo has called the Yukon home for more than 15 years. Before becoming a teacher, she worked as an Educational Assistant, where her experiences supporting students inspired her to pursue a career in education. Grounded in the values of community care and inclusive education, Bo is dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships and helping every student thrive.
Please join us in congratulating Bao on this remarkable accomplishment and wishing her continued success as an educator.
