This week we are hosting 15 singers on campus for our annual U of R Summer Vocal Intensive. These students have been immersed in solo lessons, acting workshops, and ensemble rehearsals and we are having a blast! Thank you to our wonderful faculty for working with these young artists!

GUEST SPOTLIGHT: We are so excited to be welcoming Dr. Mark Wilkinson to campus in just over a month for our annual Summer Vocal Intensive! Read about him below!

Dr. Mark Wilkinson is an internationally renowned educator, actor, singer, vocologist, voice health specialist, and adjudicator. His performance career has taken him across North America and to Europe in theatre, opera, concert, chamber music, recital, oratorio, and voice-over work, and he has been heard on the CBC-SRC numerous times. As a clinician at the Ottawa Voice and Swallowing Clinic and a professor at the Bytown Conservatory, Dr. Mark specializes in the training and rehabilitation of the voice, working closely with professional actors and singers, particularly those with voice disorders or injuries. His voice health seminars and aging voice workshops have been enthusiastically received across North America, creating a joyous, entertaining space that empowers and educates choirs and theatre groups of all ages to reclaim their healthiest, freest voices. He holds the collaborative doctorate in music, speech and hearing science, and otolaryngology from The Ohio State University.
