💙 Hear directly from one of our students about their experience with the Bridge Point Program!

Bridge Point is a student-led initiative created by Leadership students within our schools, where local students act as ambassadors to help international students feel welcomed, supported, and connected from day one.

From first-day guidance to ongoing friendship and encouragement throughout the year, these ambassadors truly make a difference in helping students transition smoothly into a new school and culture.

🌍🍲 Bringing the world to one table!
Food just has a way of connecting people beyond borders 🌍❤️

Our first end of the year international potluck was this week, and it was a total success! It was filled with amazing flavours, cultures, and connections. 🫂

From Cacio e Pepe from Italy 🍝, to hand-crafted dumplings 🥟 from China, Heidelbeernocken from Austria 🥞, guacamole and quesadillas from Mexico 🥑, and many other mouth-watering plates!

Thank you to all our international students for sharing a taste of home at our event. Our students from Laval Senior Academy and Rosemere High School came together to share their cultures not only amongst them, but also with their invited local peers as well as with their homestays, and school administration who joined the gathering in the evening.

A special thank you to Laval Senior Academy for their generous contribution and for lending us their kitchen and conference room to make it possible.

It is definitely nice to end the year celebrating diversity through food and friendship.🍴💫❤️

🌟 Part 4 of Andressa Reginato Inspiring Journey 🌟

From student life to achieving her dream career in healthcare, Andressa’s story continues! 👩‍⚕️📚

As a nursing student in Quebec, passing the OIIAQ exam within the required timeframe after graduation is essential to be officially recognized by the Order of Nurses and Nursing Assistants in Quebec. To help students succeed, CDC Pont-Viau Vocational Training Centre offers a specialized crash course designed to prepare future nurses with confidence and strategy 💪✨

For international students, the journey also includes passing the OQLF exam 🗣️🇫🇷 to demonstrate the level of French proficiency needed in the medical field.

In this 4th chapter of her story, Andressa shares her personal experience preparing for both exams, overcoming challenges, and successfully meeting all the requirements to finally begin working at the prestigious 🏥 Jewish General Hospital.

Her determination, discipline, and passion for nursing are truly inspiring ❤️👏
