This course will help you appreciate how and why poets push language to its limits. We will be studying a range of memorable poets, including Gwendolyn Brooks, William Blake, Adrienne Rich, and Layli Long Soldier. Come find out how poems can make things happen.

ENGL 1501 is for anyone interested in developing their ability to interpret ideas and communicate these interpretations in a student-centered, personalized learning environment. The course counts towards credits for an English minor and could be a major part of transforming how you view yourself and your world.

Please join us on Friday at 4:30 pm for Tess Casher's McKiel Lecture.
