As the summer winds down and the lush greenery fades to the yellows, oranges, and reds of fall, universities are full of renewal and promise as we welcome back our students for another academic year. Our program is very excited to welcome on board a new MBA Director for a 3-year appointment, Dr. Peter Kerr.

Peter is an accomplished veteran of the academic and private sectors, and through this role will continue to advance the business development and professional sales stream, as well as lead the program into the future through his innovative thinking and experience in strategic planning and marketing. He will assume this role as of September 1st.

The program would like to thank Greg Fleet and Sarah Craig for their combined leadership over the past several months in supporting several important initiatives; a professional development re-imagination, the launch of the Supply Chain Management Stream, and the new partnership with Institute of Sales Professionals.

We are excited to see how Dr. Kerr integrates his experience and know-how to strengthen and enrich our program.

Welcome Dr. Kerr!

Moving to a new country is just the beginning. What comes next is often overwhelming—figuring out how to adapt, where to belong, and how to become the version of yourself you once dreamed of.

This is why MBA alum Isaac Ebhohimhen wrote his first book, the Strategic Newcomer. The MBA Program is so proud to share more information about this achievement! Congratulations Issac!

The Strategic Newcomer is a practical and heartfelt guide for immigrants or newcomers who want more than survival. In these pages, Isaac O. Ebhohimhen draws from his own journey and the experiences of others to walk with you through the emotional and practical realities of starting over in a new land.

Isaac moved to Canada as an international student with little more than determination and faith. He faced cultural misunderstandings, loneliness, and the quiet question many immigrants wrestle with: Did I make the right decision? Through years of trial, growth, and grace, he learned what it truly means to not just arrive, but to thrive.

Join him on September 6th from 2-4pm at the Saint John Field House for the launch of this book. Register now: https://forms.office.com/r/ZJ2d7U6A7r
