Are 37 cooks in a kitchen really too many? 🤔🧑🏼‍🍳 Our new year 1s made it work! Part icebreaker and team building exercise, part trying to contribute to them being able to feed themselves we had them cook and eat some simple and nutritious meals for themselves, and the result was delicious (and just in time for lunch)! 🍲😋

Meet the Coddingtons (if you haven't already)!

"A family dairy farm in the Eastern Townships where performance, female succession and clan spirit come together." This predominantly female-run and -managed farm has seen seven of its members graduate from FMT: Tom DIP'86, Jeremy FMT'19, Sophie FMT'20, Kaitlyn FMT'21, Meagan FMT'22, Julie FMT'25 and Laura FMT'26 and have thereby earned the status of an FMT "poster family!"

And just like that... we're back and starting a new school year! We are excited to welcome a new crop of seasoned and aspiring farmers in our new cohort. As part of their first-day orientation, they got to visit the Mac Farm installations and talk to the people running them. We wish all of them a successful start into FMT!

The Stampede was a great success! So many of you across generations of DIPs and FMTs came out to reconnect, catch up and celebrate with good music and in great company. Even the weather played along (eventually)! Thanks to everyone who braved the initial storm and came out to make this event memorable!

Another FMT woman got recognized this week for studying in a male-dominated field: Fresh FMT grad Sheena Ben-David received the Health and Safety Award, one of the Chapeau, les filles! awards by the Quebec government at the award gala held in Quebec City last Monday. Congratulations, Sheena! 👏🏼🏆
