Cette année, c'est Spencer Mason et Emery Wallace, finissants du CVR, qui se sont distingués parmi de nombreux candidats de qualité. Leur engagement envers l'agriculture, leur sens du leadership et leur esprit coopératif ont fait la différence.
Chacun repart avec une bourse de 300 $, remise en main propre par Jenna Soesbergen, vice-présidente d'Uniag, lors de la cérémonie de graduation du 31 mai dernier.

🎓 Congratulations to the 2026 Uniag Scholarship recipients!
This year, Spencer Mason and Emery Wallace stood out from a strong pool of applicants. Their connection to agriculture, demonstrated leadership, and cooperative spirit made all the difference.
Each recipient received a $300 scholarship, presented by Jenna Soesbergen, Vice-President of Uniag, at CVR's graduation ceremony on May 31st.
To Spencer and Emery: best of luck in everything ahead. You are exactly the kind of next generation our region is proud of. 🌱

Award season is not over yet: After the convocation ceremony, the graduation awards were handed out. This year's recipient of the Médaille d'or🥇du ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation du Québec and the Governor General Collegiate Bronze Medal🥉, both awarded to the FMT student who ranked first in the graduating class, is Sonia Auger! 👏🏼🥂 At this occasion, we also honoured the four students who will continue their studies at university: Jasmine Desautels, Alice Charlebois, Florence Bolduc and Sonia Auger. All four of them have been nominated for Schulich Leader scholarships, Canada's most coveted undergraduate STEM scholarships. The selection has not been announced yet, so cross your fingers for them! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Two FMT women were honored with awards at Sorif's "Elles font plus que la job" event last night, during which women studying in male-dominated domains get acknowledged for their perseverance and grit with awards sponsored by partner organizations. And the winners are *drumroll* 🥁🥁🥁: Alice Charlebois received an award from Uniform Section locale 4511, and Jessica Del Negro the Agricultrices du Québec award (in absence). Congratulations! 👏🏼🍾

The last ever Phys Ed class of our graduating students was to learn or hone a skill every farmer should have: line dancing! The class was led by Sonia Auger who has been teaching students on Mac to line dance over the past two years.

We are proud to announce that his commitment to educate on these affairs has been recognized by McGill University: he is one of this year's winners of the President's Prize for Public Engagement Through Media. Congratulations, Pascal! 👏🏼🍾

FMT sent a team to participate in La Grande Marmite, a charitable food challenge that produces ready-to-cook soup bags for food banks in Quebec. Organized by La Tablée des Chefs, all donations collected through registrations go to support its Solidarity Soups program. This year, it aims to provide a total of 2.5 million servings of ready-to-cook soups to people experiencing food insecurity.
