Congrats Evan!!!! Well deserved, we are fortunate to have you as a member on our team.

As both an active member of the London Police Service and a Lambton College educator, Evan Harrison exemplifies what modern policing should represent. His approach reflects a deep understanding that policing is as much about empathy and communication as it is about authority, in both the community and the classroom.

More information for staff, faculty and students will be coming today. Please check your emails and socials for continued information. Please reach out to all the resources available and know that we will all be here to move forward through this together.

As we move into the coming days, we recognize that our community continues to process the profound loss and impact of Friday’s tragedy. We remain focused on supporting each other through this difficult time.

Based on updated information shared by Sarnia Police Service, including that one suspect is in custody and the other is not believed to be in the Sarnia area, there is no indication of an ongoing risk to Lambton College or our campus community.

Lambton College will begin a phased return to campus operations on Monday. The Sarnia campus will reopen, including Main Campus, Fire School, Skilled Trades Training Centre, EarlyON Child & Family Centre, and Community Employment Services. Services and supports will be available on Monday, and classes will resume on Tuesday.

This phased approach is intended to give students and employees the opportunity to access supports and reconnect with each other. We recognize that this will not feel like a return to normal, and we will be approaching the end of Winter Term with flexibility and care in recognition of the needs of our student community.

Let’s continue to take care of one another in the days ahead 💙
